JACOB FORBES

I'm a student at the University of Staffordshire studying Computer Games Development. I have been doing games as a hobby for years, and now with my move to University, I'm able to pursue them full-time rather than having them on the side.

Games have always been a part of my life, and programming has been an interest of mine for as long as I can remember; though my passion for actually making games wasn't sparked until my cousin showed me a game he'd made himself. Seeing someone I knew create a game demystified the idea of game development for me, and I've been pursuing it ever since. First, I received some formal training at a place called Software Academy, then I explored it as a hobby during my GCSE and A-Level years, and now I'm currently studying it full-time. Over this time, I've grown to love particularly the problem-solving aspect of making games and programming in general.

Outside of making and playing video games, I enjoy playing the drums, bouldering and D&D (when we can manage to get everyone together).
